Hoboken crossing guards and traffic controllers have been furloughed since April 22nd after COVID-19 shut down Hoboken’s schools.
Hoboken resident Julie Kapsch has set up this GoFundMe site to help these workers pay rent, buy food and pay bills.

“They got paychecks through April 22—at that point all were furloughed,” said Julie Kapsch, who had set up a GoFundMe page to help these personnel cope with the loss of income. “Also, quite a few of them have had trouble getting unemployment checks–some issues are system related, but most don’t know why they haven’t gotten them, and they can’t get in touch with anybody.”
